Scamming Not Against The Rules

i would like to know why a rule, that is obviously stated on the rules, that all staff members consistently point players to when wanting to know the rules of the server, is said to be "legal" when it's almost the entire point around rule #5? i feel as if this rule should either be reinstated, or removed off the rules completely i'd like to know other opinions on this topic, because i feel as if it gives new players a false sense of security when joining the server, i never personally get scammed but i feel it's not okay to have something say it's against the rules and then for staff to say it's legal, doesn't make much sense to me.

Rule #5:

'Players of the RoatPkz community are not allowed to hack other or deceive players in any way. This includes things such as knowingly lying about an items' price (check ::prices) or use through trading, staking, or risk fighting, gaining access and/or tampering with another player account(s) without consent, etc.'

I get your point of view in a sense that it's an old rule to not enforce it to be illegal, however in this rule never does it say that scamming is against the rules, The way you interpret it is entirety up to you. IF scamming was illegal do you know how many fucking little kids would cry to staff and we'd have to deal with them non-stop and not actually play the game because they're to stupid to realize that the reason they got scammed with all their own doing. for example:

1. Trust trading - your own risk to trust the person therefore your own risk to get scammed
2. Dueling -  double check the rules before going into the stake and don't be stupid
3. Trade scams - swapping bgs out for ags or using vote ticket scam, don't be a moron and check before accepting the trade
4. getting scammed at risk &or meth - get a mm and don't trust the player, if you do it's your own risk

I as well see your point, my main issue is the title of the rule says specifically says "item scamming" and that's what it means when it says "Players of the RoatPkz community are not allowed to deceive players in any way  This includes things such as through trading, staking, or risk fighting" so i mean it clearly insinuates that scamming isn't allowed, and i also get your point about the reports but staff deal with so many bullshit reports as of now regardless they will all just get put with the other ones, it doesn't matter what you do staff will always get little bullshit reports on anything it happens with players and staff all the time anything that can be reported will always have people either abusing it or trying to manipulate it or just get on there to be annoying.

Sort of agree to a degree with this one, this is just a random example demonstrating the unfair nature of the rule;

> If I "scam" you with the AGS to BGS switch, you lost 4 - 4 .5k PKP [Not against rules]

> If I "lie" and tell you the AGS is worth 3k PKP and you sell to me, you lost 1 - 1.5k PKP [Against the rules]

I think it's odd that one form of dishonesty is OK, whereas another is not. It's not good enough to say "we'd be dealing with it non-stop" because bigger servers than Rpkz manage to do it, if you're staff than it's what you sign up for and there are trade/duel logs saved for a reason. Combine those with pic/vid evidence showcasing the scam and there's no reason not to deal with it. This is worse than "ragging", especially if someone is scammed for a large amount it makes people want to quit.

In other news, I am now an official PKP-doubler, meet me at Edge bank anytime. Terms: min. amount is 1k PKP, doubling will require 2 trades.

"Bigger" being the operative word, hence more staff being able to handle the work load. Not to mention we have a significant population with English as a secondary or even third language trying to communicate what transpired, and filling out a decent player report is time consuming. Rather then just adapting to the game and not crying over spilled milk as the phrase goes, you can make back what you lost faster by finger perspiring then waiting for a non existent refund. Not to mention it'll allow you be more cautious and alert in the future.
