Physics assignement help!!

Recommended Posts

Anyone good in physics here? Idk how to solve this

the assignement: to qualify in the finals of a racing competition, the racing car must end up in speed at 300km/h on a 400 metre long reach.

how big must the car's medium acceleration atleast be?

so the problem is I don't know the time. If i had the time I could just use the formula but I guess I need other formula to get the time then use my real formula to complete the task

im so lost pls help a highschool boy out!!!

It's also 4am kms

So you're saying that you need to find the acceleration that the car must have in order to go 300km/h after driving 400 meters?

V final = final velocity = 300km/h YOU MUST CONVERT 300Km/h TO m/s which is 83.3m/s USE GOOGLE FOR THAT

V initial = the velocity at the start = 0m/s

a = Acceleration = ?

x = Distance it has to travel = 400m

This is a formula used to find the acceleration

(Vfinal)^=(V initial)^ +2ax

Vfinal^= 0m/s + 2ax

vfinal^= 2ax

300km/h^=2(400)a

300km/h^=800a

300km/h^/800=a

300km/h = 83.4 m/s

83.4m/s^/800=a

6938.89/800=a

a = 8.67m/seconds squared

That is the acceleration needed to go from zero to (300km/h or 83.3m/s) on a 400 meter 'reach'

The time it took? What is t

x= V initial + 1/2at^

400m = 0m/s + 1/2(8.67)t^

800=8.67 t^

800/8.67 = t^

t = the square root of 800/8.67

t = the square root of 92.27

t = 9.61 seconds
