Crafting

Spoiler

Start training with ::crafting - Crafting is a rather simple skill, you can train it anywhere in-game, but you can find the Crafting supply shop south of the Skilling Island. You can both craft gems & spin strings.

::crafting - trade Crafting Tutor to browse shop

  • Method 1: use chisel on uncut gems and cut them for XP. Then use chisel again on the cut gems to make bolt tips for additional XP (this is great if you are training fletching simultaneously)!

- Cut gems and make bolt tips, and as you unlock more skilling content, cut the highest level gems you unlock.

- Bring tank gear in Resource Area with lockpick, food, etc once you are able to craft Zenyte (lvl 89), otherwise just craft Onyx (great for fletching later).

Lvl 1-  Opal- 50 XP
Lvl 10 - Flax to Bowstrings - 300 XP
Lvl 13 - Jade - 60 XP
Lvl 16 - Red Topaz - 70 XP

Lvl 27 - Emerald- 90 XP
Lvl 34 - Ruby - 100 XP
Lvl 45 - Diamond - 125 XP

  • Method 2: pick flax and spin them into bow string

- This is good when you are starting out crafting.
- Start spinning flax at level 10, but you will have to pick the flax yourself which may take some time.
- Do not use this method if you are planning to train fletching later on because you can use a chisel on cut gems to turn them into bolt tips for massive fletching XP when you make the bolts while training crafting simultaneously.

3.PNG.c249c1424fe25912c317d8171e5a11d3.PNG

  • Tips and Tricks
    - Crafting is one of the easiest skills to train. You can do all of your crafting at ::crafting. There is a bank nearby for convenience.
    - This is a simple skill (read above). You will mainly cut gems or spin flax (at lower levels).
    - If you plan to train fletching, I highly recommend cutting gems so you can make bolt tips which can be used on spawnable bolts to train fletching (best XP in the game).
    - 2x XP Scroll to train faster. You can purchase from other players or earn it by completing your daily tasks.
    - Skill Boost scroll to boost all non-combat skills by +25 lvls to unlock higher skilling content and train faster.

  • Tips and Tricks
    - Fishing is an easy and fun skill to train. You can do all of your fishing at ::fishing or ::dzone. There is a bank for convenience. Wilderness, especially regular dzone dungeon is a GREAT place to power fish and train with Piles to note/un-note your fish.
    - Monkfish and Shark are the fastest XP. Use the Crystal Harpoon (12.5% faster rate than dragon Harpoon) when fishing sharks, otherwise just power fish Monkfish.
    - Always train in wilderness if possible for 2x XP.
    - Anglers outfit boosts XP by 10%.
    - 2x XP Scroll to train faster. You can purchase from other players or earn it by completing your daily tasks.
    - Skill Boost scroll to boost all non-combat skills by +25 lvls to unlock higher skilling content and train faster.
    - You may use Double Harvest scroll to get double fish. However, it may or may not be cost effective depending on current market value of the scroll.
    - Infernal Harpoon has a chance to cook your fish when fishing. Great if you are training cooking. However, Crystal Harpoon catches fish 12.5% faster than Infernal Harpoon - if you prefer to power fish for XP.
    - Opt out of bounty hunter when skilling to prevent target from teleporting to you when training in wilderness.

Fletching

Spoiler

Start training with ::fletching - Fletching is a unique skill and has multiple things to fletch, you can train it anywhere in-game, but you can find the Fletching supply shop inside the Woodcutting guild. You can fletch bows, string bows, make crossbows, make darts, make bolts, tip bolts & a lot more!

THIS IS THE FASTEST SKILL TO TRAIN IN ROATPKZ AS OF 9/24/2021 - read below for the best method

  • ::fletching Tutor and Shop

fl1.PNG.ecf9787f8b4c081d88dfd0c8ed5195e1.PNG

fl2.PNG.604f1a5d4a4b79556dcd7483df4224c0.PNG

  • Method 1: stringing bows

string.PNG.b99c5af248b24a6f694ad26043ef7722.PNG

- When you unlock magic logs you will gain great XP. You can start stringing Magic Shortbows at lvl 80 and Longbows at lvl 85, you can purchase unfinished magic bows from the Fletching Shop. You do not need to be in the wilderness to string them.

1-10 - knife + log = make arrow shafts
10-15 - knife + log = longbows then string them
15-20 - knife + oak log = arrow shaft (30)
lvl 20-22 = knife + oak log = oak shortbows

- At this point you can either continue making bows and stringing them as you advance your level or make darts/bolts. You will not receive double XP in the regular wilderness for fletching, ONLY at Resource Area will you get double XP.

- Make a preset or withdraw 14 unstrung bows and 14 bowstrings to string your bows. If you prefer the easy way just "withdraw-10" bows and 10 strings.

  • Method 2: making darts

- Darts are the best Fletching XP in the game, but it requires smithing bars into dart tips (if you have bars saved from smithing or you can purchase bars from players/::tp).

- Darts = dart tips + feathers (::getid feathers)

- Unless you have the bar and dart tips supplies readily available, it's best just continue making bows and stringing them (see above).

  • Method 3: making bolts

4.PNG.479477bbafa8843ba3526201bf7e6619.PNG5.PNG.451d1354a3e543c6c8f74e410e299288.PNG6.PNG.d92e2b4f762d1508f19a80f68c657a66.PNG

- This is the best fletching method in the game if you have the required crafting level. Go to ::crafting and purchase cut gems and chisel them into bolt tips then use the bolt tips on spawnable bolts (::getid bolts for example). Use your bolt tips on the bolts you want to make to gain massive fletching XP.  Fletch inside the Resource Area for double XP rate.

  • Fletching experience table:

Lvl 5 - Shortbow - 25 XP
Lvl 10 - Longbow - 50 XP
Lvl 20 - Oak Shortbow - 85 XP

    - Make a preset or withdraw 14 unstrung bows and 14 bowstrings to string your bows. If you prefer the easy way just "withdraw-10" bows and 10 strings (read above method 1). You do not have to be in the wilderness to string bows.

  • Tips and Tricks
    - Mining is a great skill to make money with at high level. You can do all of your mining at ::mining or ::dzone. There is a bank nearby for convenience. If you are Extreme or Legendary Donator you can ::bank.
    - I highly recommend power mining coals in the regular Donator Zone Cave (see above) or the wilderness as it is easy to tank and you can note with Piles NPC. This is the best and safest method.
    - Purchase the best pickaxe your level can unlock for fastest XP.
    - Full Prospector Outfit = 10% bonus mining XP
    - Celestial Ring = 10% bonus mining xp + chance of doubling ores. Great in the wilderness since it's kept on death.
    - 2x XP Scroll (daily task scroll) to train faster. You can purchase from other players or earn it by completing your daily tasks. Highly recommended for this skill if you train in wilderness. Bring tank gears + lockpick if in Resource Area.
    - Skill Boost scroll to boost all non-combat skills by +25 lvls to unlock higher skilling content and train faster.
    - You may use Double Harvest scroll to get double ores. However, it may or may not be cost effective depending on current market value of the scroll.
    - If you are mining you can use Infernal Pickaxe for a chance to smith ores into bars (addy ores, mith ores, etc). You will receive both mining and smithing XP. This is optional, but recommended if you are planning to train smithing as well.
    - Opt out of bounty hunter when skilling to prevent target from teleporting to you.
    - Higher mining level can earn you more stardust at Shooting Star event!

Slayer

Spoiler

Start training via ::slayer

Refer to Slayer Guide by Fruitiest:

  • Tips & tricks
    - 2x XP Scroll to train faster.
    - Skill Boost Scroll to boost all non-combat skills by +25 lvls to unlock higher skilling content and train faster.
    - Purchase slayer items at ::slayer shop by talking to NPC.
    - Wear Slayer Ring (1/5000 drop rate from any npc). It is untradeable and never lost on death - it provides you with 10% Slayer XP boost while worn (kill + task). It also automatically adds your Larran's key drops to your inventory.
    - Use Skip Scroll (Daily Task) if you need to skip a task and dont have enough slayer points to skip.
    - If you open Larrans Key at ::mb bring a lockpick and tank gear (escape route = pirates hut).
    - If cost effective use Nieves Blessing scroll (1 hour) - boosts accuracy and damage by 15% & stacks w/ slayer helm.
    - Opt out of bounty hunter when skilling to prevent target from teleporting to you.

Smithing

Spoiler

Start training by ::smithing - 1) smelt ores into bars by using a furnace 2) hammer those bars into wep/armour by using an anvil

- Furnaces and Anvils can be found at ::smithing, ::dzone, dzone dungeon, wilderness resource area.
- ::getid hammer to smith those bars into armour/wep (you will earn skp)

  • Tips and Tricks
    - Smithing is a good skill to train. You can do all of your smithing at ::smithing or ::dzone. There is a bank for convenience. Set up your bank for maximum efficiency when withdrawing items to bypass the skilling preset cooldown.
    - Goldsmith gauntlets boosts smithing XP by 10%.
    - 2x XP Scroll (daily task scroll) to train faster. You can purchase from other players or earn it by completing your daily tasks.
    - Skill Boost scroll to boost all non-combat skills by +25 lvls to unlock higher skilling content and train faster.
    - You may use Double Harvest scroll to get double bars. However, it may or may not be cost effective depending on current market value of the scroll. Smithing is usually profitable with low cost scrolls.
    - When you smith items the XP and skilling points are scaled with the bars, so it does not matter what you smith. However, to maximize your time always smith the item requiring most bars (plates).
    - I never attempted to smith in the wilderness because it's deep wilderness and requires a lot of inventory space (they should consider making ::gorillas furnace functional @Gretar), however there are furnaces and anvils in Dzone Cave if you wish to explore the wilderness option.
    - You will get double Smithing XP inside the Wilderness Resource Area.
    - If you are mining you can use Infernal Pickaxe for a chance to smith ores into bars (addy ores, mith ores, etc)!
    - Opt out of bounty hunter when skilling to prevent target from teleporting to you.
    - If you are planning to train fletching in the future, save up your bars and make ONLY darts. This will save you a lot of time when you are fletching. Otherwise just make bows and string them for fletching.

- Opt out of bounty hunter when skilling to prevent target from teleporting to you.

It's brilliant, helped me a lot. Very high quality guide. Of course I've outgrown it new with my new rank 😛

I think you could mention the AFK skilling area at home as passive XP, it's not much but it all adds up
