Hardcore PVP Mode

  1. You can trade (this is not to be confused with ironman)
  2. Elysian spirit shield CANNOT be wielded by a Hardcore PVPer. (to make it more intense).
  3. Hiscores set up, if/when you die you keep your name on the hiscores, but name is scratched off on death.
  4. Custom rank/icon for the Hardcore PvP mode.
  5. Broadcast all deaths with any Hardcore PvP account that dies with over 25 kills.
  6. When you are on a streak have it broadcast "Hardcore SMACKD is on a 32 kill streak at 45 wilderness!"
  7. Possibility: A hardcore PvP account CANNOT enter any clan chats. You stand alone.
  8. Possibility: Similar to new RWT system, if/when you die you must put 50% of your bank in the furnace. You may want the best gear on the account however you may be risking a lot doing so!
  9. YOU CANNOT USE PROTECT ITEM - ALL ITEMS ARE LOST ON DEATH

Release day contest:

First to 500 Kills: 500M 07

First to 250 Kills: 250M 07

First to 150 Kills: 150M 07 

There will be measures against boosting, anyone who does boost KS will be jailed, have their KS revoked, and do not get to win any prize.

Again this is just an idea, this is NOT confirmed in any way, just wanted to see if the community thinks it is a good idea.
There is no benefit to this really, it's just more of a personal goal/accomplishment game mode, will promote more PVP activity inevitably.

Cool idea, I like the non-clan bias idea too. 

I'm suggesting a form of bounty system too? Where players can bet money for players to be hunted

IE: Ya Mama has put a bounty of 250K PKP on Filler, Kill him to receive this prize (or something)


EDIT: Could even add a life system? So you dont lose everything on one death
Also another idea, a player could receive that players 50% of bank from a key, that when you loot it, it tbs you for 2:30.

Could ALSO integrate a perk idea for it like you have done with clans. No idea as an example but brainstorming could fix that.

Considering you can't even go PK without being harassed by teams falling in to dump specs or rag with the OP Bow of Faerdhinen it seems almost redundant to what the current killstreak system already is. Besides the fact that you would risk all carried items (could simply put in a command to eliminate protect items between people) and having to sacrifice half of the players bank there's not a lot of difference besides a title.

 

Like mentioned above after the 07 rewards it will die out because all that will happen is your team singling out people trying to make something for themselves. The PJ timer would need to be altered for these accounts to make it viable otherwise with all of the OP weapons these days it's too easy to just bully people with a team.  Not to mention that the AHKing/scripts that still exist would ruin the fun of someone actually doing this for fun and skill at Pking. 

 

Ya Mama's suggestion with the bounty will simply make a way for RWTers to xfer money too easily while maybe it could maybe be monitored to try and determine which bounties are legit or not it would become too difficult to do all of the time. The Key system is an interesting idea however then the accounts would need to be made to no be able to trade existing accounts and then that will probably (hard to say for sure, but more than likely) limit the amount of people actually playing this aspect of pking due to it taking time to gather money for decent gear to be able to get kills regularly.

New game mode wouldn't hurt. 

My suggestions:

- PVP mode chars should have their death/punishment only count heavily when killed by another PVP mode player. If they die vs regular non-pvp character they get reduced punishment.
- Separate ELO rating for PVP mode only count when vs other PVP mode players.
- They should be able to join cc otherwise they would just edge pk or get focused by clans in deep wilderness with no chance of defending themselves.
- Their spawn spot "::home" should be deadlocked at ::Ferox to promote activity in that area. Spawn all the necessary shops at ferox. They could still use all teles in the game and travel freely.
- Make the content engaging by adding PK Mode ranks (bronze, silver, gold, platinum, diamond) etc the more they PK they can unlock rewards. Could also add daily missions for PK Mode players to complete in the wilderness to advance their rank. 

- Punishment system: When PVP char dies he can choose his punishments to restore his rank.
1) Reduce his bank wealth by %
2) Complete some missions in the wilderness (e.g. kill 25 players) within a certain amount of time or they have to reduce their bank or risk losing title when time expires. 
3) Dying in multi should have significantly smaller punishment compared to dying in singles.
- Benefits: PVP mode character should have increased perks in the wilderness since they get punished when dying (perks TBD) to entice ppl to make a pvp mode. 

No to the "bounty system" that is begging people to RWT and really no way to prove it, but I suppose you could cap the bounty at 1K-5K PKP or something relatively small, but then people would just rag the person being hunted to claim the bounty.

I really think this is a good idea but i dont think you should be able to trade instantly. Maybe unlock Trading after 25 Kills. Makes more sense and its way more fair so poor people get a chance at this rather than only rich people that can afford max gear instantly. This also makes it more like a challenge :D
