GUIDE PRICES ARE WRONG

GUIDE PRICE FOR ALL ITEMS MUST ALWAYS BE EQUAL TO TRADING POST MIDDLE PRICE.

MAIN REASON: Because they are supposed to be a reliable guide instead of a completely unaccurate lie. :(

2ND REASON: So 'Save Item' prayer saves the most expensive item on death & I don't lose Ultor Ring over Sang Torva Body. :S

3RD REASON: So networth calculations & ::myrisk become accurate & reliable.

4TH REASON: So players unaware of this issue don't get scammed by believing into the Guide Price.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

TRADING POST MIDDLE PRICE MUST UPDATE EACH TIME A TRADE IS SUCCESFULLY COMPLETED.

MAIN REASON: To give the Roatpkz Community a Real-Time middle/guide price.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

TRADING POST MIDDLE PRICE OF ALL ITEMS MUST BE CALCULATED ACCORDING TO THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF TRADES.

MAIN REASON: To prevent ultra-rich merchers from manipulating items middle/guide prices.

2ND REASON: To give the Roatpkz Community a much more accurate middle/guide price.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

ADD A LIST OF 'TOP 100 MOST EXPENSIVE' ITEMS TO THE TRADING POST.

MAIN REASON: To allow the Roatpkz Community to check out the items with the biggest margins.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

ADD A LIST OF 'TOP 100 MOST TRADED' ITEMS TO THE TRADING POST.

MAIN REASON: To allow the Roatpkz Community to check out the most traded items.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

ADD A CTRL SHORTCUT TO DISPLAY CURRENT NETWORTH INTO THE PUBLIC CHAT.

MAIN REASON: To allow the Roatpkz Community to display their current networth into the public chat.

Example: " My Current Networth is 273.189.654 PKP! "

Right now the ::networth, ::current-networth & ::max-networth commands are completely & absolutely useless because they only display into your private chat & it's much easier & faster to check them by clicking into the Account Management button.

Prices fluctuate, thats how a market works. So showing the price according to the 30 days is pretty fair. Old data can manipulate the current price aswell. A while back tbows were 10M and nowadays you won’t get one for that price, just to give an example. Also updates can have an impact on the demand of an item. Mercher exist and always will. That’s part of an economy.

All time data is mostly static and could have outdated or extreme data that gives a distorted look on the market.

Updating Trading Post data every single trade can cause extreme high server load and could make the average traded price even more unstable and wobbly. Updating every few hours keeps the server load stable and takes care of more stable prices. And again: merching is part of the game and making the interval slower makes it easier for people to jump on certain items.

The price cap on items in the Trading Post prevents extreme market manipulation and actually tackles the issue you quoted before: price manipulation by merchers.

Guided prices on new items actually prevents merchers from buying these (at that point) rare items for extremely low prices by newer players that have no idea about the RoatPkz economy. I believe it also helps by items kept on death and prevents you from losing a raft over a bgs.

::networth command exists and works fine. Why add a shortcut? It’s only a couple of letters.

cant see why these are absolutely needed -1

If only 1 Elysian Spirit Shield is traded for example at 60M pkp in the last 30 days, trading post will say middle price is 60M pkp when in fact it's around 30-40M maximum.

If you risking an Ancient Godsword at ::riskzone or edge or ::highrisk and display ::myrisk, Ancient Godsword will count as 100K pkp risk when it's under 60K.

That and more is why the update is ABSOLUTELY SMART, EASY TO CODE & NEEDED :)

First of all nobody said prices do not fluctuate or merchers do not exist.

Second showing the price according to the last 30 days trades is completely unaccurate, specially for rare items and customs that are barely traded.

Old data does not manipulate the middle price of an item, old data gives a much more accurate and fair middle price.

It doesn't matter if an update has an impact on the demand of an item, the middle price will continue to adapt if the update is released & will be again, much more accurate.

I wonder how updating trading post middle price every single trade can cause a extreme high server load, if there are hundreds of players online doing multiple actions that require connection with the server in real time already, actions that probably need much more data than the update of an String/int/double..

If middle price is calculated according to the total amount of trades, the middle price will be MUCH MORE STABLE, ACCURATE AND HARD TO MANIPULATE.

It's true that price cap may prevent merchers from selling and buying between their own accounts or friend accounts and manipulate prices.

For somebody to buy a new rare/custom item at a extremely low price there must be a seller, if the seller agrees to sell at an extremely low price it is fair that the first middle price stays at that price, and depending on the rarity & demand of the new item, the price will continue to adapt anyways.

I agree for "items kept on death" the code may need a price aproximation, anyways you must be dumb to bring a new rare/custom into the wilderness :)

::networth command right now is completely useless because it only displays on your chat, easier & faster to just click on the Account Management icon.

I mean it would be cool if it was displayed as a message into the public chat like when you display your kdr, elo or do ::myrisk.

Something like: " My Current Networth is 96.324.132 PKP! "

Also CTRL shortcuts are a great feature specially for Royal Donators.

Thank you for your feedback!

OH YES very much needed updates, I am sick of these merchers making money just to gamble it all away!

Let the addicts gamble!

::gambling is a money sink like the 3% trading post tax!!
