I’ll be completely honest but my opinion will not have much sway considering my lifetime here, but I want it to be duly noted from a new person perspective. Yesterday was my first day at Roatz! And I haven’t played private servers for a few years since Matrix shut down when I was a mod. To say I didn’t have fun is an understatement, this server allowed me to laugh with an old friend so hard I was tearing up, even if my KD ended poorly at 17/35? I haven’t pked in a long time but it was a nice change. I wish there wasn’t such a gap in items for me and veteran players though, don’t stand much a chance in my rune gear as I’m still tryna get the hang of Bridding again. 10/10 I love the server, but the yell chat and the players have become a little bit toxic when staff is offline, and it was very bad last night to where someone was spamming a racial slur(followed by death) in yell, and then it became a pissing race between players and got really bad to where it made me uncomfortable to see. Now, you’re probably like “why didn’t you just turn yell chat off”. I give people chances to fix themselves before I end up blocking them, and I’m not one to run from hatred but to embrace it and find a way to change up the situation. There was none of this yesterday, as the spamming continued followed by two players arguing about snitching and shit. Big facepalm. I know it was Labor Day in the United States so most staff may not have been at home, but there was a lack of staff during the night hours of 8pm -12am central timezone(us). And think it should be duly noted to look for another player in a different time zone to be able to monitor yell if it gets out of hand. I did end up buying me and my friend donator and then myself super donator though. So keep up the good work, I hope I can meet some of the staff today! Thank you for reading. I really enjoy this server for clarity the only staff I saw online from 8pm-12am, was one support member that wasn’t on to long.
