The player has been given a temporary ban as a punishment and as a warning. We don't normally punish people for this type of scam, but since they were quite large amounts, an appropriate punishment has been handed to them.
Also, it looks like you fell for that trick 5 times in a row though..? Sorry to say, but that is literally your own fault for not actually checking what the opponent puts up.

Yes, looks like he has been punished several times for scamming. He is currently banned, and it won't be lifted anytime soon.
