Rules misunderstanding

So I need some help understanding the rules at edge.

I rushed a guy named Parb and he threatened to have Smackd come over and ban me.

2 minutes later, Smackd shows up and tells me to stop rushing or he'll "end my acc".

According to the rules:

Rule #12: Ragging/Rushing
Players of Roat Pkz community are not to rag or rush at Meth, Easts, Wests, Risk, Graves or Brid/Edgepvp. Punishments will be handed out on sight by staff if you're caught by them. Ragging and rushing at edge is OK until it becomes unbearable for players. Ragging and rushing includes but is not limited to, Excessively attacking another player that is not interested in fighting with you, repeatedly pjing a certain player, repeatedly fighting with overheads when the player asks not to use overheads & attacking then teleporting continuously, repeatedly teleblocking players and teleporting away.

To report ragging or rushing at edge, video evidence of at least 10+ minutes of continuous ragging is needed. A 3 minute video is needed for else where.

 

Parb did not have ANY evidence of me rushing let alone the required 10 minutes of it.

I informed Smackd that I had done nothing wrong and was following the rules perfectly however he stated he didn't care and he made his own rules.

I guess what I want to understand is if corrupt staff are permitted to do as they wish on this server. If that is the case, I am very disappointed.

It's against the rules if you rag at edge, the 10 minute thing applies when reporting remember staff can go invisible ingame.

And each player is different, if they're risking trying to fight other riskers and ask you to off multiple time and you refuse the rule applies unless they attack you back then it's fair I guess.

Rules probably need an update however that being said, don't piss around with authority. If a high ranking staff member suggests not to rush/rag it's better to comply than to argue. That being said neither you nor Smackd are in the right/wrong just misconceptions like these can end worse than they need to.

Fair enough, but Smackd didn't tell me to stop rushing Parb (who was the only person I was rushing at that time), he told me to "stop rushing" altogether.

I personally rush sometimes it's fun to see if you can kill someone in one combo, but if the player asks you to off you just gotta move onto another target.

Smackd told me to stop rushing altogether, not just with Parb but with everyone. So what target do I move onto then?

Rush others until your told to stop by the player I guess. it's allowed at edge.

I wouldn't state it like that, I'm saying that it's Smackd's responsibility to encourage/maintain a positive game play experience for all players, regardless if they are firends he is doing what needs to be done to maintain a positive game play experience..

Ok, its good to know that its allowed because Smackd made me feel like if I rushed another person, I would be banned on the spot.

It’s annoying having to deal with raggers / rushers jizzing over 100 pkp risk then dbowing and running back into safe zone when they aren’t interested in fighting you.

He literally told me 1 time to stop or he would bring you over. And 2 minutes later you appeared. He only told me 1 time unless he has screenshots proving otherwise.

I'm being toxic for doing something that's allowed according to the rules?

Quite simple actually, when we say 'evidence' is required this is to report someone on the forums however when a staff member (Me or Smackd) sees you in-game or are aware you are rushing/have rushed it clearly states we can punish on sight. In all fairness he actually gave you a warning before punishing so there's really nothing wrong here. Even more so even though they may or may not be friends i would presume Parb would have been in some considerable risk? If anyone was targeted or rushed in such risk we'd act the same regardless.
