    ??

Well... it's not like staff don't break rules too so it was probably long overdue! Surely they should have just appealed like everyone else? Mike didn't show favoritism, there are people who have done worse stuff than JJ and had their appeals accepted, multiple times. Why have double standards because you don't like someone? Admin outranks Mod, why would he need to obey Zoradz at all? He was given a higher position based on his experience and ability so he can use his own judgement and felt enough was enough. Just because YOU re-ban some people that Gretar himself has unbanned doesn't mean everyone else should follow your footsteps and mess with the hierarchy. Sometimes you're so childish it's unbelievable and you just lie to back up your actions (like that time you banned me for Pking!!) The whole punishment system is a joke at the moment, no consistency used at all, people getting random lengths of mutes or bans for various things. Do you even have a guideline for this in the staff section? Like how long should a mute be for flaming anyway? Looks like most cases it's just 48 hours then you appeal it. I don't want to pick out specific examples and bring certain players appeals into this, but it's really obvious if you just see the reports/appeals sections. Anyway Gretar informed me a new system is coming for logging all punishments so it can be monitored better, and hopefully with the poll results due to come out the new marking system will pass and be implemented. It would change players attitudes a lot I hope because as far as I know, marks aren't currently used with every punishable action.
  2. Yes but just like in the real world, there are legal and illegal scams. (Some scams, although bad morally, do not break actual laws -or use a legal loophole- therefore nothing can be done). This is an example of a 'legal' scam, really these would be better categorized as tricks rather than scams (specifically con artist/confidence tricksters). The other guy did not force him to accept or stop him from seeing the rules in anyway or abuse any feature of the game to gain an unfair advantage, he simply used an option he had the right to use. It's not nice when it happens, but now you learn to be more careful, plus just do the same to others... think of it as NH duels...
  3. That was 2 years ago, and I found it hilarious as fuck. I suppose it was karma because what I was doing was against the rules (bug abuse), besides he's my mate and we were sparring.
  4. Tried it out first day, not OSRS but the RS3 deadman mode, was fun killing confused level 3's for a bit, but overall not my cup of tea. I've been playing RSPS for longer than I played RS, just can't get back in to it. Anyway good luck on your progress and have fun! Btw this pic: https://i.gyazo.com/9ccd810619ac82ed63c2a85b4f157a85.png Lol @ the amount of right-click options on that guy, just imagine a bunch of guys DD on that spot, how long would the options menu be....?!!
  5. Staker's logic.... quitting because you lost items to a "scam". Would you also have quit if it was a fair duel and he won? Only put up items you are willing to lose, no good crying about it after, regardless how you lost them. Besides, the other guys are right, there is a clear indicator that rules have been switched, it's there in red and you chose to ignore it. Rule switching is a common tactic because rather than relying on pure luck alone people like to pull the strings in their favour. Those who stake regularly know this and just take precautions by taking some items (eg runes, food, rapier, etc) in case this happens.
  6. Couldn't read it on my phone, because you're using in-game IP to display name, smart! Anyway I CAN read it from my PC now, so congrats to our new mod, you deserved it dude! (Yes I mean you, that's reading my post, well done bro)
  7. Please don't blame him, it's always Ahmash's fault. He twisted his arm and got you expelled from the clan, by convincing him this was a troll app and that you're already in another clan. Why? Because the other day he (Ahmash) was telling me how much better than you he is, then called me over to Duel Arena where I witnessed you kicking his butt. In his rage he smashed his computer mouse and swore he'd get his revenge on you. Don't worry though, I'm sure it was an empty threat, he's harmless...

    Peace! :)

See you later rule switcher, I remember anti-scamming you for 20k lol...
  9. Hmm.. a veng suggestion. I don't like your idea, sorry. It's better that it cancels when you KO someone, because if you're low HP, you can also die and it ruins your kill streak. It's bad enough retribution works. It's just annoying for the guy who won the fight to also have to die. My input on veng is that you shouldn't be able to double cast it when it's not been activated - like it should say "You already have the power of vengeance!" otherwise it's wasteful. Also, another tip: please add a countdown timer to the chatbox message, so each time you click the spell it would say "You must wait another X seconds to cast veng," instead of it saying 30 seconds each time you try. Just a thought and it stops people spamming the veng icon, we all do it...
  10. Good idea thanks. Tom your shit...
  11. You clicked the food way too late, so it's clearly your own fault. Blaming the server for stuff like this will lessen the impact of any genuine claims you may have.
  12. That's because the R-S community is terrible, or as people around here might call it "cancerous". I don't take them seriously anymore... Anyway I posted under the name Mojo!

  14. Yes, I wouldn't trust anyone with the server files either. But you can still use a developer to program for you, just give them a blank source to test code on (not the actual server, just a basic PI would do). Then when they show you the work, you just pay for the codes and literally copy/paste it into this server - it can be inspected for any malicious content (Gretar is proficient enough to understand chunks of code). If there's any problems transferring the code, they can sort any errors over Team View or something. Works really well, plenty of freelancers about on RSPS forums. This only applies to adding fresh content though (new items, gfx, minigames, events, etc etc). For modifying existing stuff (eg. combat system!) he'd have to pass over specifically those classes that deal with it. It's a difficult situation.
  15. There is already a newer staff feedback topic:
  16. Yep got to hand it to him, Taylor is a master baiter...
  17. Welcome to the server! This is a very enjoyable server indeed. You seem friendly and innocent, please try to stay this way. Some Roat Pkz players are a bad influence..

    ?

Hmm.. I support changing upper/lower case letters in a name. That would be acceptable. But not changing usernames with shitty little hovers on friends list (like RS has). So it's a good job you're not asking for that.
  19. GZ on joining a non-PVP clan on a PKing server mate! GL with whatever you guys will do together, there's so many activities outside of PVP - like you could play "I Spy" or something LOL :kappa:

    1. Ahmash

      Ahmash

we can do chaos ele mass, giveaways, gambling, hide and seek, i and spy

also im already in 3 pvp clans

  20. I've said this before, and I'll say it again: Mods, you are suffocating the forums when you unnecessarily lock threads. This is a case of over-moderating, perhaps because you feel the need to do something when your powers are not needed. Not every topic has to be tied up into a neat little bow, you can leave a few open you know. There's always room for more input and you're blocking that. I don't like the restriction. Many times I've wanted to post something but cannot because of this. I completely understand certain threads being closed that have no more value, were limited-time only, or shouldn't be kept open for certain reasons. But aside from these few situations, I wish you would relax a little. Below I will give examples of exactly what I mean: ONE : Update thread. Shouldn't have been closed, a new topic was made to discuss this anyway so closing it did nothing. More people might have posted something if this thread was left open instead of a new one being created elsewhere, if nothing else then to at least congratulate him. TWO : An example of a thread where locking is used correctly. The rules are the rules and you can't argue with them. Any changes can be suggested in the appropriate forum section but these will seldom be altered. THREE : Another example of where locking is deemed necessary. This thread was going nowhere and there is no definitive answer here. Just leads to constant arguing, eventually flaming and hurtful comments as people continue to one-up each other. FOUR : OK support related threads like this are usually locked before the OP has even had a chance to reply! This is bad forum etiquette, after you make an attempt to help someone at least give them the opportunity to thank you or to post if they still need further help. Point in case, the linked thread here states the user has "forgot my damn password" so how will Bind's answer help him there? Nothing personal to you Bind, you are trying to be very active and helpful at your job and that's great. But if I could've added my 2 cents there, they would have been: 1) use account recovery system, 2) the client's "remember me" feature saves (unencrypted) passwords locally at C:\Users\Your-name\roatpkzv5\Data\login.ini FIVE : Why would you lock suggestions? And 5 mins after it's posted as well... give people a chance please. It's nice that it's getting looked into and adding to poll, etc etc. But what about user feedback? What do other people think of this idea? Will it be utilised, or yet another dead teleport to spread the players even thinner? Do people have any other ideas for locations? Guess we'll never know now. The OP clearly said, "Thanks, let me know of any different suggestions and ideas that you have, and your opinions." Right, well I CBA trawling more through the forums right now, the point is many locked threads shouldn't be locked. It's a pre-emptive strike, like you're thinking "I bet people will spam here later, so just to prevent that I'll just close this now!" That's pretty lazy if you ask me, just leave them open. Threads should only ever be closed as a last resort, not just because you feel like it. -- Inb4: "Thread locked, we do what we want!" - A Mod
  21. Honestly you might just need to run CCleaner to unclog your PC. Or worst case scenario, just format it to give it a breath of fresh air. Roat Pkz is based off a very old version of RS (not the current OSRS), so it's system requirements are as low as you can get. Unless your computer is well over a decade old, it shouldn't hold you back on a game like this. If you are using wireless, I recommend to use wired instead, it's more reliable.
  22. Can't tell if this is sarcasm or not because it comes across quite harsh. But they're all unrelated suggestions though. That's like saying we should just have one thread for everyone to post suggestions on instead of a section of the forum dedicated to it. Generally, a forum looks more active if it has more threads verses just a few, even if those few have many replies.
  23. For completeness sake, here are some more that you've omitted: teleports - ::duel, ::varrock, ::easts, ::wests, ::party item spawn - ::food, ::tb, ::bind, ::dh (::dharoks doesn't work), ::pickup (same as ::item) cc - ::cc-takemod-(username), ::cc-lock, ::cc-unlock, ::cc-listmods, ::cc-listbans website - ::rules, ::appeal, ::report, ::donate, ::vote pking - ::skull, ::kdr, ::levels, ::resetdef, ::mystats, ::maxhit, ::haxon665 general commands - ::commands, ::players, ::afk, ::claim, ::reward, ::poke username, ::stoppoke, ::empty, ::getid item-name, ::test, ::yell message (donator only), ::bank (super donators only), ::cash (it works lol!) ::muteyell, ::unmuteyell, ::xpbaron, ::xpbaroff, ::roatbarrage, ::osrsbarrage Also I'm pretty sure SS has another command where they can request you to go to them, which would be *something* like ::teletome (username) and we can do ::accept in response to this (if you do ::accept any other time it says you have no tele requests)
  24. Wow you're on fire, way to go with these great ideas, all of which have my full support. Keep it up!
