Roat Pkz Recap (2016)

Hi guys, i'm posting a recap of all the key updates that were added to the game this year and also some thank you's.

January

* Added new magic formulas
* Ranged strength has been implemented correctly, and displays in equipment tab.
* Distance range and mage hits have been timed correctly.
* Replaced ::brid with ::wests
* You now get more PKP the higher KS you’re on and opponent.
* New object handling system that verifies all objects server sided & correct object distances.
* New PKing skulls, every 5 ks to 25 gives you a slightly more red skull.
* Combat system re-written from scratch, same with duel, trade and prayers.
* When logging in players will appear in queues not all at once to prevent blackscreens.
* Duels will now end in a draw if no one has won in 10 minutes or both players dc at same time or an update occurs.
* No movement duels now have a seperate arena to prevent people from dding on stakes.
* Which player gets the kill has been fixed, now it’s the most damage in last X seconds gets the kill, at places like meth zone & duel, last hit gets the kill, redemption prayers now give correct kill as well.
* Following has been re-written and players should no longer be able to escape as easily.
* All darts, javelins, thrownaxes, knives work properly and arrows with poison will now poison other players
* New RoatPKZ Champ
* All npcs have correct attack, block and death animations
* Teleporting home from webs / gates bug fixed.
* NPC and Player hits are queued up, so if you get hit by 10 claw specs at once, all hits with still show up
* Thieving stall replaced with prayer altar at donator zone.

Armadyl Crossbow is now in PKP shop for 2500 PKP!
Now it is Armadyl > Chaotics > Rune, although its only 5 range bonus apart acb has much better accuracy!

Fixes/Misc updates
Warrior Ring (i) got a buff.
Castle Wars lobby fixed.
You can now 'stack' hits if you start mage from further distance.
Items no longer drop on the ground if your inventory is full in trades.Pre-Made Kits always give you the correct kit if you select between a few before picking.
VLS hit delays has been fixed.
The Anti-Farm system has been improved and is more advanced.
ACB, AGS, SOTD & Serpentine Helm have been temporarily added to Huge Packages!

February

OSRS CLIENT INTERFACE
You can now select a OSRS interface in the Client Settings.

XP drops fully working with attack style!

Settings Tab

3rd Age Items & Ardy Cloak 4

3rd Age weapons have been added to the Vote Shop, along with Ardy Cloak 4.
The new OSRS books have been added to the Pure Shop.

Fight Timer

Fight time is now counted, resets every minute and keeps track even if you swap attackers.

Voting Tickets

When you vote now you receive a voting ticket, if you claim the ticket you can select between a
Voting Package or 100 Pk Points, once you claim it you receive 1 vote point.

Barrage Icon Swap

The Barrage icon is now in both places, if you only want it to show up in the 7th row you can do ::addbarrage,
if you want to change it back later you can do ::removebarrage

Item Switching

You can now swap between ROAT and OSRS item switching.

Misc updates/bug fixes
Many bugs in Castle Wars have been fixed, such as barricades and attacking from waiting room.
Defence requirement has been added to decorative armor and Rune/Adamant Kite (h)'s.
Your Prayers now reset when selecting a kit, fixes the issue with Pures using Piety.
Armadyl Godsword special attack is now 50% more accurate than before.
The area to click on text in the quest tab is now full width if the interface.
'Your teleblock has been removed' text is dark green now.
Duel Arena countdown is now the same for both players.
You can no longer use any ranged weapons at ::oldbrid.
A few trees in east wilderness have been removed.
Easter eggs have been removed from all packages.
Saradomin Sword now uses 100% Special Attack.
Chaotic weapons have been 'slightly' nerfed.
Prayer Glows bugging out has been fixed.
Client Textures are a bit smoother.
Top100 Voting link has been fixed.
::getid has been limited to 250 results.
DFS special now gives you the kill.

March

You can now talk to Abdullah at home and he will decant all of your
Super Combat Potions for a great price!
 

Amulet Of Glory, Ring of the Duel and Games Necklace
now work 100% and have correct drop downs.

Combat Changes

Melee combat has been changed and spec accuracies are even more accurate while
armor bonuses matter even more than levels now.

Combat Block emotes have been added and should work very well!

Event Zone

An event zone has been added for staff members where they can host events and have custom pre-made kits that you can load via the chest.

Poll System

An in-game poll system has been added, this is a good addition in-game so we can easily poll future updates that we're not sure about, it's available in both English and Arabic. Please note that although you can make multiple accounts to vote and it'll raise up the vote count we will not count duplicate votes, we still raise the displayed vote count so people can't tell if they're avoiding it or not.

Misc Updates/Bug Fixes
Smite Prayer now works perfectly!
XP bar is now turned on by default.
Serpentine Helm now uses 20% less scales.
The trade scam at wild bank no longer works.
Entangle has been fixed and instantly stops players.
You now receive a message if a trade was declined / accepted.
Donator Tickets now have a 2 window confirmation before claiming.
Text buttons in the Quest tab now cover the whole interface width.
You now get a message when you get teleblocked that tells you for how long.
Donator NPC’s now have correct hit delays.
Tree hugging should work now.
Walking or turning/moving whiled dead should no longer happen.
Special attack being removed or turned off when trying to hit a player diagonally has been fixed.
The Prayer glows should be fixed now and work fine. (it also no longer appears if you can’t use the prayer or out of points)
Staff members now have the ability to remove yells from in-game, for example if someone is advertising in yell we can remove it so you no longer see it.
The attacking length has been reduced by 1 tile while running.
The wilderness multi-icon is now 2 small swords instead of the big PVP ones. (looks a lot better).
Also I do believe that I’ve fixed the OSRS switch mode, please let me know if it’s better.
The client saved username and passwords are now encrypted with a different key for each computer.
You can no longer get jailed/marked by the mod bot for using offensive language.
Mac Ban System has been improved.

Items now sold for PKP
Barrow Items now costs PKP (25-50ea).
Armadyl Armor Set now costs PKP (250ea)
Bandos Item Set now costs PKP (250ea)
Infinity now costs PKP (25ea)
Dragon now costs PKP (10ea)

You can now sell vote items back to vote shop for 50% of old value.
Chaotics have been disabled in PVP combat (work in PVM and FunPk).
3rd age and Void is now in Vote Shop (Void can pick up on death).
Barrow Items break on drop and can be fixed at home.

May

Ancient spell book is now correct on OSRS mode (doesn't have bounty tele but looks same)
 

PKP Items appear closer to the top of drop pile instead of bottom!

Protect Item Fixes
Untradeable items no longer protect over PKP items.
Broken Barrow items now have protect value of 20PKP
TSOTD no longer protects over everything
Halos and 3rd age have a protect value of 7500PKP now.

Bank Methods, Wearing Items and spawning items have been improved.
I have re-made all bank/spawn/wear item/remove item methods to make them as efficient as possible, and only refreshing related interfaces max 1 time per tick. Here are some noticeable examples (left=old, right=new).

Universal Teleport!
The Universal Teleport tab allows you to teleport from level 1-20 wilderness even if under attack and from ::meth & ::brid. You can also set your own teleport destination via right click. (10 PKP ea from shop)

Multi Barrage!
Multi Barrage has been enabled in the wilderness!

Dragon Spear Fixed!
You now have 1 tick to eat from spear spec in singles and it stacks up properly in multi.

Automatic Screenshots!
Your client will not automatically take a screenshot when you kill someone or win a duel (reward screen), the screenshot settings can be accessed at ::settings.

Organises pictures well on its own (folders & timestamps).

Auto Escape System!

Now if your client crashes mid-combat or you get ddosed, your account will attempt to teleport away (or tab if you got one), if you can't tele it'll try running into safe zone while eating/brewing/potting as necessary.

* Cooked Karambwan has been added and is very useful while Pking as it can be used as combo food (1 PKP ea in PK Shop).

* All Potions now work 100% correctly (Saradomin Brew most noticeable!)

* A new teleport system has been added (barely noticeable, but you can start teleporting straight on login and walk very quickly after teleporting.)

June

New Friends List!

New Additions to Private Messaging!

Tab to reply now works even if you don't have the other player added! (must have 5hr playtime)
Automatic AFK Mode, if your account is AFK for over an hour you will show up as 'AFK' in the Friends List.
Private On, Friends and Off works now and saves on log out.
Clear Private Chat button has been added (right click on tab bar).
Ignore list now works Perfectly and saves on log out. (doesn't display yells from that player).
Right Click to 'Quick-reply' in chat box when someone messages you.

Media

Lottery System!
We've added a lottery system in-game, you can add items and PKP in it and the more you add the more likely you are to win, server takes 15% of the pot as PKP sink (2M+ sinked so far).

New Bank Options

Bank Search and bank equipment have been added to the bank interface and work very well!

Max Hit Dummy!

A Max Hit Dummy has been added to home, you can use all attack options on it (range, mage, melee) along with special attacks, it will display the highest hit you can hit on another player, please keep in mind that if 2 weapons show the same max hit it does not mean they are equally as good as accuracy isn't taken into account there.

Non-tradebles kept on death!

All un-tradeble items are now kept on death for free (might be limited to normal players sometime).

PKP Shop Changes

Dark Bow is now in the PKP Shop for 500 PKP.

VLS is now in the PKP Shop for 1000 PKP.

Roat Pkz Clan Chat!

A new clan chat system has been added in-game, it includes all the basic osrs settings & ranks, all ranks and clan settings are saved so you don't have to re-do them every time like you used to. It also has a lot of neat features I will list below!

See your clan mates location (ranked members only, there is a refresh button at bottom of clan chat interface where you can force refresh the location on everyone).

Clan Chat kill share, see kill information live!

Request to Copy a kit from other clan members.

Request to teleport to your clan members (does not work in danger zones).

Right Click options, kick option blocks the user from your clan chat for 60 minutes AND blocks him from joining it from his mac address during that timeframe.

Roat Pkz Tournaments!

Hey everyone, from today onwards Roat Pkz will have daily PKing tournaments, ranging from Tribrid to F2P. These tournaments will be scheduled to run daily and you'll receive multiple notices in-game before it starts. If you win any tournament you will receive a temporary yell tag for 1 week and (250 * Players Entered) PKP (2nd, 3rd, 4th also rewarded with PKP). I will explain below how it works.

Enter tournament portal at home 1-15 minutes before tournament starts.

Once you're in you will see a lot of things, a portal, altar, dummy, spectate sphere and a bank booth.
 

The bank will always be pre-made with items you can use in the tournament and
specifically made for the tournament, so every tournament has a different bank, the bank can also include
PKP items or untradeables, and they're free for everyone during the tournament!

Once the timer is down to 1 minute the server will pick a random fight for you and will always attempt
to make the fights end up fitting in a perfect bracket (16, 8, 4, 2), which means you could be automatically
through the round without playing. Once you're in the fight zone you will have up to 4 minutes to finish
the fight, the winner goes through to the next round while the loser will receive a participation
reward of(1 PKP * Players Participated) and will be able to spectate all other fights.

 

The winner will receive a custom yell-tag depending on which tournament it was, this yell tag will last for 7 days
or until next tournament is over, however if you win multiple tournaments you can swap them in-game (::yelltags).

New Risk Zone! (::risk)

  

Multiple Risk Zone portals! (25 PKP+, 250 PKP+, 1000 PKP+, 5000 PKP+)!

A new risk zone has been added that is a lot better than ::meth in many ways and stops people from ragging or fcing in fights without risking anything, if you have any suggestions to improve new risk zone please let me know!

New Yell Chat (Free For All Yell)!

You can now be punished for flaming in normal yell chat so we now have a FFA yell chat where u can shit talk others and flame as much as you want without punishment, however, giving out personal information such as full name, addresses or ip's is still prohibited in the FFA yell. (yell can be entered via quest tab).

Roat Pkz Play time

You can now see your total play time in the quest tab by pressing the 'Server Time'.
Vote tickets

Vote tickets are now stackable and you can claim the all at once

New Vote Rewards

Partyhat & Specs and Amulet of Fury (or) can now be found at the voting shop!

New Features / Bug Fixes!
* Toxic Staff no longer drops scales when you protect it.
* ::dzone has been added for quick access to the Donator zone!

Tanzanite Helm

Helms & Magmas.

Magma and Tanzanite Helms!
Magma and Tanzanite helms are now in-game, you need to use the mutagens on an uncharged serpentine helm to create them, mutagens can be purchased from the vote shop for 50 Vote Points.

Tournament Fixes!

Damage counter added (most damage wins at timeout)
 

Tournament Barriers have been added!

( if you dc during the tournament you have 1 minute to re-connect and keep fighting )

New Barrow NPC's in the Wilderness!

You can now kill the barrow brothers in the wilderness, they have a 1/10 drop rate of a barrow item!,
a great way to earn money for newcomers! You can go there via either the Ghorrock teleport or 44 portals and run north!

Other Fixes!
You no longer lose your items if you die outside the Risk Zone Portal.

September

JAD

Jad now spawns every hour in the wilderness (at :00) and drops great items such as Dragon Warhammer, Elysian Spirit Shield, Spectral Spirit Shield and Arcane Spirit Shield! It has 2500 health and only spawns in multi locations.

Dragon Warhammer

Dragon Warhammer has been added in-game with spec. The only way to obtain it at the moment is a Jad drop.

Odium and Malediction Wards!

Odium and Malediction wards have been added to the PKP shop for 1,000 PKP ea.
You can upgrade them with the 'Ward Upgrade kit' (Vote Shop for 20 Points).

 

Pathing & Clipping

Pathing and Clipping has been reworked, all pathing is now done server sided with both following & walking. You can no longer attack through walls, gates, spider webs or teleport and run to noclip. It also automatically works very well with custom object placements, such as whole tournament zone.

Spirit Shields!

Arcane, Elysian and Spectral Spirit Shields are no longer Donator only items, they can now be obtained from killing Jad (ca 1/4 drop rate)!
(Please note that more donator benefits will be coming).

Other Fixes!
- Prayer Delay & Food Delay has been fixed
- Magic Attack/Defence formula has been changed (levels mean 50% less than before)
- A Prayer altar has been added to ::risk
- Damage Counter is now always shown in tournaments
- ::topic command fixed
- Fixed a Prayer Bug with changing levels

Hey everyone, as many of you know the consistency of ban/mute reasons has not been good on Roat Pkz and has led to many players being punished without evidence in the past. However we've now worked together on good guidelines for punishments and a great new punishment system. It includes features such as Mac Pk Cooldowns, automatic ban and mute expirations and gives mods/admins access to temp mac bans/mutes. We've also noticed that IP bans/mutes are very unreliable and therefore we've retired the IP Ban/Mute commands, all ip mutes have been lifted but current ip bans will remain.

Current Ban Types!
Mac Ban - (1-7 Days) & Mac Mute - (1-7 Days)
Account Ban - (1-28 Days / No Expire)
Account Mute - (1-28 Days / No Expire)
Mac Pk Cooldown (30m - 24hr)

New Ban Logs!
When staff members punish a user now they MUST back it up with evidence within few hours. These ban logs will not only be viewable by staff members but also the user that is being punished, here's an example.

Upon log in you'll receive a message that you've been banned!

A Punishment Log, once you click on 'View Punishment' you'll be redirected to a website where you'll get all the information on your ban, when it expires (automatic) and for what reason you were punished and a picture/video proof for you to view. (Please note that ban reasons will only be available for bans from now on).

Spooky Skeleton (Level: 666)

For our Halloween event this year, there are three spooky skeletons placed
around the wilderness and if you and kill them the rewards will be yours!

Upper and lowercase names!
You can now change the character casing on your usernames by clicking on it (costs 1000 PKP)

New Skin Colors (Donator Only)
Talk to Makeover Mage to discover the new colors (Very Brown, Black, White, Green Red) (thx sandel!)

Bearded Gorillas

Bearded gorillas have been added to ::gorillas, they drop Zenyte jewelry with a 1/100 drop rate for each piece of jewelry. They have 500 hp and can be killed for other PKP items aswell.

Zenyte Jewelry

Zenyte jewelry has been added and drop from bearded gorillas at 1/100 drop rate for each piece.

Imbued Rings

All imbued rings have been given the correct models.

Rune Pouch Pre-Sets

The rune pouch now has rune pre-sets for barrage, vengeance, telebock and bind runes and can be accessed by right clicking on the rune pouch.

Custom Kits Reworked

Custom kits have been reworked and you can now have custom characters in the name for example (#1brid). Also custom kits will work with unique items that you can only have 1 of (serpentine helm, toxic staff of the dead, magma helm and tanzanite helm)

Dangerous Teleport's

Dangerous teleport's have now been given a warning message when you try and use the teleport and this applies to ::easts, ::44s, ::champ, ::darkcastle and ::gorillas.

Special Attack Distance

The correct special attack distance have been added and also applies to range and magic.

King Black Dragon

King Black Dragon has been added to Roat Pkz and uses all 5 attack styles and drops the dragonfire shield.

Granite Maul

Granite maul has been added to the PKP shop for 1000 PKP.

Edge PVP

An instanced version of edgeville has been added which can be used for pvp and is accessible by using the command ::edgepvp.

Christmas Event

A Christmas event has been added which can be started by talking to Santa at home, and then killing the evil elves in the wilderness to obtain the anti-Santa outfit.

Other Updates/Bug Fixes!

- Dragon claws have had an accuracy buff
- New teleports have been added ::44s, ::champ, ::darkcastle, ::gorillas and ::graves
- You can no longer keep a gate closed by spam clicking on it (delay added)
- Custom kits now remember your rune pouches
- 100,000 Pk Points have been added to the donator shop at ::donate
- You will now receive a message when your DFS has done recharging
- A new item handler has been added which makes the item methods up to 10x faster such as when loading item bonuses and name
- A proper lever handler has been added so only 1 player can pull a lever at one time (depends on pid)
- DFS now makes you immune from the dragon bolt special attack
- Dragon Bolts and Onyx Bolts now have the same chance of activating their special attacks as OSRS (10%-ish)
- You can no longer get stuck diagonal to your opponent while attacking them
- A new player saving system has been added which is much more efficient and will save your player data in memory so it instantly grabs your player data upon login. This also makes saving player variables easier to store
- Karil's xbow now has the correct projectile and will not drop bolt racks
- Donator teleport has now been fixed (No more force teleports)
- You now can see the mute reason when muted by typing '::mute-reason'
- The Piety/Chivalry bug has been fixed (changing defence level)
- All magic prayers now have the same attack bonuses in defence
- Seer's Rings has been buffed
- Wizard Boots and Robin Hood hat have the item bonuses
- Prayer no longer drains after you have died
- All NPC's now freeze when you freeze them
- Overhead Prayers will now work correctly against NPC's
- You get unfrozen if you opponent goes out of range (10 tiles)
- Splashing no longer displays the '0' hitmark
- Ring of recoil now resets when loading a kit
- Tournaments will no longer affect KDR
- Donator capes and pker's cape have been nerfed
- Donator capes, pker's cape and vesta have been disabled at Edge PVP
- Auto escape system has now been improved and will work in funpk and f2p zone as well as use glory's
- Teleblock timer is saved on logout
- The trade lure at Edge PVP has now been fixed
- All DFS's in-game have been removed and are dropped by the KBD now
- Protect values have been changed on some items, please post below if it can be improved
- The amount of times you have voted is now being logged
- Custom kits have been fixed to prevent it from remove the item from your kit if you didn't have the item
- Client has been updated to prevent crashes (please post below if your client is still crashing from this point it is only an experimental fix)
- Gorillas are now non-aggressive and there is less of them, and their new max hit is 25

Tournament Fixes

- Tournaments now reward players who come in 5-8th place with 25 PKP
- The F2P Tournament no longer has full rune or d hide top
- Some items have been removed from the Pure NH Tournament
- Piety has been removed from the F2P Tournament
- Brew caps have been added to more Tournaments

As you can see about there has been so many updates this year and so much hard work and dedication from the players and hard work from Gretar and i'm hoping that we will get the same amount of dedication and hard work put into Roat Pkz this year. Roat Pkz has change so much over the year and is well on its way to becoming one of the best RSPS's.

Creating a nice thread for the community to see the collective effort and hard work that has been put into Roat Pkz over the last year and all the different things that have been done to improve the games and highlighting that in a thread is being a "fucking nerd" people like you are the reason staff don't bother to attempt to do anything nice stfu if you have nothing positive to say.

Honestly don't even remember writing this Tbh but smackd your right just because I was drinking I shouldn't of commented something negative that's positive for the server when I've spent a lot of time on this server waiting for it to get better lol but really I think I only commented that to make fun of yoobs but I take it back now
